The crypto Super PAC Fairshake, operating through its affiliate Defend American Jobs, has significantly increased its spending in the Ohio Senate race, aiming to unseat incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown. A recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing shows the group disclosed an additional $7 million earmarked for advertisements opposing Brown.

This latest contribution brings Fairshake's total spending against Brown to over $46 million. The PAC has consistently framed Brown as hostile to the cryptocurrency industry, citing his vocal criticism of digital assets and his efforts to increase regulatory oversight.

Expanding Political Footprint

Fairshake’s ambitions extend beyond the Senate race. Just days before the latest filing, the PAC announced it was broadening its scope to include 32 House races across the United States. This expansion signals a concerted effort to influence a wider range of lawmakers on crypto-related policy.

The PAC’s strategy centers on highlighting candidates perceived as supportive of the crypto industry and contrasting them with those, like Brown, who have taken a more cautious or critical stance.
