Sazmining Expands Access to Immersion Mining
Sazmining has begun offering Proto immersion hashboards to both individual and institutional investors through its mining-as-a-service platform. The launch provides access to Proto’s immersion systems – previously used primarily by large-scale operators – to a wider audience, with financing options starting at $1,397 with 0% interest over 18 months.
Proto Hardware Specs and Ownership
Proto, a product line from Block (NYSE: XYZ), designs its immersion mining hardware for efficiency and durability. Customers purchase the hashboards outright, each delivering approximately 200 TH at a power consumption of 15 J/TH. Sazmining manages deployment, monitoring, and maintenance at its U.S.-based facility. Bitcoin mined by the rigs is sent directly to the owner’s wallet, with an all-in rate covering power and maintenance.
Strategic Partnership and Future Growth
This launch follows a multi-megawatt supply agreement between Sazmining and Proto, with both companies planning further expansion based on demand. Kent Halliburton, CEO and Co-Founder of Sazmining, emphasized the durability of Proto’s hardware and the benefits of owning hashboards rather than a full system. He also highlighted mining as a diversification strategy for Bitcoin acquisition, separate from traditional exchange purchases.
Financing and Sustainability
Sazmining is offering 0% financing over 18 months and accepts payment via card or Bitcoin/USDT/USDC for a discount. Hashboards are covered by a one-year Proto warranty. Sazmining states its fleet operates with a carbon-free energy share exceeding the Bitcoin network average. Systems are expected to be operational between November and December 2026.
